WALLED GARDEN APPEAL

The gardens of West Horsley Place make you that feel you have happened upon somewhere both special and unexpected, even secret. Support us today to restore the secret gardens of West Horsley Place.

MORE ABOUT OUR GARDENS

The stunning 18thcentury Grade II listed walled gardens, relaxed natural open spaces framed by old topiary, roses and shrubs and enfolded by sheltering brick walls, are a haven of calm. At the heart of the garden is a rare serpentine wall and an ancient fruit orchard. A surprise awaits; rearing suddenly over the wall is a new and elegant brick opera house, a sign of the Place’s new life and future.

Like the house, the gardens have been hidden away and have fallen into a state of faded grandeur. We wish to raise £10,000 to help restore the gardens and enhance their beauty for everyone enjoy whether spending a peaceful day here, learning new skills, immersing themselves in artistic endeavour or attending a grand evening at the opera.

If you would like to discuss making a donation or wish to donate to a particular area, please contact Head of Development, Catherine Day at catherine.day@westhorsleyplace.org.
